Assyrian Cultural Center of Bet-Nahrain in Ceres, California is hosting a Reception, Lecture, Question and Answer session, and Book Signing event on Tuesday, October 11, 2005 for the Film Director, Actress, Musician, Figure Skating Champion, and now the Author of The Crimson Field, a historical and literary true story novel of the Assyrian Genocide of 1914-1918. The Reception will begin at 7:00 pm.
The Crimson Field masterpiece novel reminds the world of the heavy price the Assyrian Christians (Ancient indigenous people of the Middle East region Iraq, Iran, Turkey, Syria, and Lebanon) paid while two-third of their population were slaughtered in numerous genocides and massacres by the hands of their Muslim neighbors. In her book, Rosie is telling the story of her own family’s struggle that mirrors the heart wrenching suffering of every Assyrian family to bring awareness among the Westerners and the younger Assyrian generation living in Diaspora.
