President Talabani, the Assyrian People are Still Waiting for your Apology

In spite of President Jalal Talabani’s intentional blunder and outrageous denial of the Assyrians’ ethnicity in Iraq during his presidential speech on April 22, 2006, the masses of Assyrian people in Iraq and Diaspora flooded the offices of Unites States Department, and Iraqi embassies around the world with their letters of protest and condemning phone calls.

The Assyrian people will not rest until Mr. Talabani holds an official press release to apologize to this indigenous people of Iraq. No president should be allowed to undermine the constitution he is sworn to uphold, and abuse his position to commit ethnocide.

The following is a much appreciated letter from the Iraqi Ambassador in United States, responding to the letter of protest sent by the President of the Assyrian National Congress, Dr. Sargon Dadesho.
