The showcase launches the 10th anniversary celebrations for Presidio Dance Theatre, one of the Presidio’s early arrivals in 1998. As a premiere cultural institution, Presidio Dance Theatre has earned widespread admiration and numerous awards for the impressive quality of its artistic endeavors. It has become like a magic formula which opens a whole world of its own, and has united audiences of all backgrounds and traditions in the feeling of joyful amazement, festivity, and wonder! Audiences leap to standing ovations as artistic images with amazing detail and rich multi-cultural repertoire portray dozens of dances, choreographic scenes and suites which serve not only as an artistic bridge, but an emotional bridge to diverse cultures. Costumes for the productions have been designed and created primarily by the artists of the Mariinsky Theatre (Kirov) of Russia.
Presidio Dance Theatre is permanently housed in the heart of the Presidio, America's newest National Park. At Presidio Dance Theatre's state-of-the-art facility located adjacent to the scenic Golden Gate and Crissy Field, educational opportunities and performance programs are offered for all ages, building on the rich cultural traditions of the San Francisco Bay Area.
