The Assyrian National Referendum committee would like to share with you the most eye-catching and heartwarming notes, pictures, and messages they receive attached to the completed Referendum forms, via an online memoir album
The contents of this album are a strong demonstration of the passion our zealous Assyrian people feel in support of the Referendum, the one and only true independent national project which has renewed the hope, and awakened the sense of nationalism among most of whom were forced to live in Diaspora, far from their beloved occupied homeland, Assyria.
As you are well aware, the Assyrian National Referendum committee is bound by its promise to protect the participants’ confidentiality, therefore, most of the images will not reveal the names of the senders. We only reveal the name of those who have given us their authorization in advance. The committee encourages the participants who send letters and messages/notes to include whether or not they would like us to post their names on the net.
Some envelopes come with pretty labels, among them the funniest is one sent by the famous Assyrian author, Rev. John Booko from Three Rivers, Michigan, which says, “Trust in God, but tie your camel!” Rev. Booko is the author of the book, Assyria, The Forgotten Nation in Prophecy and The Assyrian Revelation. Another interesting label is a picture of the Assyrian Guardian showing the sender’s view of the Assyrian Referendum as the guardian of the Assyrians’ National rights, protecting the Assyrian identity against the malicious attacks from the internal and external enemies of this proud nation.
Among some interesting mottos are the patriotic ones, “Khaya Atour/Long Live Assyria”, “Support our Troops”, “Remember the Veterans”, and “Let Freedom Ring”. Also, among other passionate mottos are the spiritual ones carrying the sacred lines of the Bible where God promises the Assyrian nation peace in the Middle-East (Isaiah 19:23-25):
In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians. In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land: Whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.
The committee also receives phone calls and messages in regards to the disappointment the Assyrian children and teenagers feel by being left out of this Referendum! In that case, we encourage our youth to send us a drawing or a painting showing their feelings toward the Referendum along with their parents forms, or separately, if their parents have already sent their forms.
The Assyrian National Referendum online album section will be updated periodically, as the committee receives more and more interesting materials. We would like to conclude this announcement by one of the messages we received with a packet containing 201 completed forms which says:
"God bless the Assyrian Referendum, and God bless those who work for the Assyrian name, Amen.”
